Principal's Message

Dear Washington Families,
My name is Amber Landis, and I am honored to be returning as Principal here at Washington Elementary. I have spent the last four years loving this amazing campus, as both an Assistant Principal and Principal. This is home for me! It is a privilege working with our loving and dedicated staff, adorable children, and the most supportive families each and every day!
We continue to be committed to the safety and health of our students and staff as well as to their educational success. At Washington, we believe that ALL students can be successful! Children are most successful when we all work together. I value our partnership in ensuring that your child has the academic foundation needed to meet the challenges of an evolving world. I have an open-door policy, and am happy to meet with you if you have any questions or concerns. I do encourage parents to reach out to the teacher first, if it is a concern within the classroom. As parents, you have a huge impact in your students' lives. You can enhance their educational experience by ensuring your students are in class, asking your child about his or her day and reading with your child daily.
We encourage our families to keep informed as to what Washington is doing, by making sure that our office has your current phone number and current email address at all times. If something changes, just come in and let us know. Many flyers will be coming home through email this year instead of on paper and we want you to stay informed. You can also “like” our Washington Facebook! We post announcements and celebrations on this page frequently.
Together, we can make this year successful! We are looking forward to working with all of you to accomplish that.
Warm Regards,
Amber Landis
